New: Legacy Meadows adult care home
Legacy Meadows, which describes itself as a luxury adult care home in Albemarle, says it is newly licensed and accepting referrals. According to its member post, the home has six private bedrooms on a 14-acre property, and its first two residents will receive a “Founding Resident Welcome Package.” Care levels, rates and a flyer are attached to the post on the Chamber’s member news page ↗. Thursday, Oct. 22: Magic After Dark ladies’ night
Downtown Albemarle shops are staying open for Magic After Dark: Ladies Night, with shopping, specials and pop-ups. Participating businesses listed by Albemarle Downtown are The Independent Bistro, FNDTN Beauty, Livi Bug’s Boutique, Make It Personal and Sisters Merle Norman. The start time wasn’t posted; check with the shops. Earlier that day, the Chamber’s Women in Business coffee meetup runs 8:30–9:30 a.m. at T.R. Lawing Realty, 132 S. Second St.
Chamber members: update your 2027 directory listing
The Chamber has started planning its 2027 Member Directory & Visitor Guide. It is asking members to check their address, phone, email and website in the Member Login portal before the guide goes to print. The 2026 directory ↗ is online for reference.
Carolina HealthWorks for small employers
The Chamber notes that members with 2 to 50 employees can access Carolina HealthWorks, a health plan option launched by the NC Chamber and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. Details are on Blue Cross NC’s site ↗.
